Frederick, MD [August 19, 2025] — The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club (FSRC) brings the Market Street Mile to downtown Frederick, MD, on Saturday, September 13, marking the event’s 42nd year. This one-mile race has become a staple of In the Street, formerly known as In the Streets, and is open to runners of all ages and abilities. The festival kicks off at 9 am with the Men’s, Women’s, and Non-binary Mile, followed by the Youth Mile at 9:15 am, and concludes with the Fun and Family Mile at 9:45 am.

The Frederick Market Street Mile is a feature race for both the Frederick Steeplechasers Grand Prix series and the Maryland RRCA Grand Prix series. The race’s mission is to offer a quality race for the community while supporting Frederick area children in need. All net proceeds will benefit the Lincoln Panthers Running Club and City Youth Matrix.

In 2024, net proceeds reached $9,978.62. $2,000 went to Lincoln Panthers Running Club and the remaining $7,978.62 went to City Youth Matrix.

Registration starts at $10 for the Youth Mile, $25 for the Men’s, Women’s, Non-binary, and Fun Mile, and $30 for the Family Mile. Prices increase after 11:59 p.m on September 10. More information can be found at www.frederickmarketstreetmile.com
